As part of what we offer as an all-inclusive social organization, we always plan to ensure that the needs of our members are met, by creating not only in-house activities but also being open to other activities in the community that may interest our members.
When you become a member of the Cairns and District Senior Citizens Association you will be able to join in on our special events that will engage you physically and mentally.

We are always looking for more fun activities and events to add to our calendar so we welcome suggestions and open discussion about the kinds of things you would like to do.

Volunteer Thank-You Lunch

We recently hosted a thank-you lunch at the Novotel Oasis to celebrate all the volunteers who’ve supported Cairns Senior Citizens this year. It was a small gesture, but a heartfelt way to acknowledge the time, care, and kindness they bring to our community.
🎄 Xmas in July – A Joyous Celebration! 🎄

Held outdoors under perfect winter skies on July 16th, our Xmas in July event brought smiles, music, and movement to over 60 seniors!
The fabulous Tropical Brass Band, with Pauline on vocals, set the tone with all the crowd favourites, and Kozo and his charming Hawaiian uke group shifted the tempo, getting feet tapping and dancers on the floor. Doris and her group added to the fun with their lively performance and engaging audience participation.
Our hardworking kitchen team served up a delicious BBQ feast, with service that was as warm as the weather. And of course, no Xmas celebration is complete without a few dashing Father Christmases—including one with a distinctly tropical twist!
A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special—laughter, music, and festive cheer were in abundance!
